Description :Matricaria chamomile, steam distilled flower, Egypt. Also known as Matricaria recutita. Its scent is strong, sweet, warm, fatty, fruity and herbaceous. This oil is indicated for all kinds of skin disease (eczema, psoriasis, itchy/dry/flaky skin) stomach distress and menstrual problems.It can also be used in massage for muscular pain and for arthritic inflamed joints. It's also useful for treating sprains, inflamed tendons and swollen painful joints in bursitis. It is a good remedy for urinary stones. Menstrual pain and menopausal problems can be relieved by the use of compresses, massage and baths. The action of chamomile as a vasoconstrictor can help reduce the redness of the cheeks due to enlarged capillaries. Blends well with bergamot, clary sage, lavender, neroli, sandalwood and ylang ylang.

Description :This can grow up to 125cm high, with hairy leaves and tubular yellow flowers surrounded by white ligulets. Different from its brothers in both use and appearance, the black sheep of the chamomile family is Chamomile Moroccan. It comes from the Asteraceae compositae botanical family. Though related to German chamomile botanically, it differs both chemically and olfactorily, and doesn't physically appear like the German plant at all. Steam distilled from the flowerers of Ormensis Multicaulis, a plant native to Northwest Africa. Chamomile Moroccan cannot be used as a replacement for either German or Roman chamomile. It is used almost exclusively in the fragrance trade as a topnote in colognes. Its strengths here are particularly keen: even the most minute quantity is pleasantly noticeable.

Description :The chili pepper, a hotly pungent variety of Capsicum. Chilly Seed essential oil is credited by aromatherapists as being an analgesic, an anti-inflammatory, and as a digestive aid. Blends well with: Chilly Seed is not typically blended with other essential oils. Chilly Seed essential oil has a strong, pungent, stimulating scent that is very hot and spicy. Columbus brought seeds back to Europe in 1493, and from there it has spread to the cuisines of the entire world. The pre-Hispanic Americans believed the chilli to contain medicinal qualities and modern science uses the essential oil is burn ointments.

Description :Cinnamon is extensively cultivated throughout the tropical regions of the world. The tree must grow for eight years before its thick bark is mature enough to be harvested. Cinnamon has a long history of use in India. Traditionally, the herb was taken for colds, flu and digestive problems, and it is still used in much the same way today. The infusion or powder is used for stomach pains and cramps. Cinnamon oil was used in the mummification process by the Egyptians and was applied as a holy anointing oil in ancient Hebrew rituals. Cinnamon was also sacred to the Greek god of ecstasy, Dionysus. When it is burned as incense or added to foods, cinnamon raises spiritual energy to a higher level to return for manifestation in creative work.

Indicated for tooth care, blends for vaginitis, impotence in men, respiratory blends for the lungs. Eases colds and breathing difficulties. As an inhalation, it is excellent for exhaustion, feelings of depression and weakness. It is a very effective antiseptic, digestive and anti-rheumatic and is regarded as one of the strongest antiseptic oils. Useful for preventing infectious and contagious diseases. Description :Clove oil is one of the most antimicrobial essential oils. Clove's aromatic influences have been know to improve memory and create a feeling of protection and courage. Cloves were used in the Middle Ages to fight the plague and cure impotence, and today herbalists prescribe them as a natural pain reliever and anti-inflammatory agent. The oil contains eugenol, a strong anaesthetic and antiseptic substance used today to numb gums in dentistry. Description :The clove tree can grown to 9 metres (30 feet), producing oil after five years of establishment. When the nail shaped buds are pink, just prior to opening into a crimson flower, they are picked and dried for distillation. The buds must be repetitively distilled to extract all the oil. This oil darkens to a deep brown with age, beginning as clear fluid oil. The buds, are used for the extractions of clove bud oil. Both the oil and the flower buds have been valued as a herbal medicine for a long time. Esoterically, the buds are used to attract love and money and for psychic protection. The Chinese called them "birds' tongues," and Europeans referred to them as the "grains of paradise." Cloves are said to help one penetrate illusion, and the Romans burned them as incense to keep others from making up lies or gossiping about them.

Description :Eugenia caryophyllata, steam distilled leaf, Indonesia. Clove leaf oil has a strong, spicy and penetrationg aroma; it's highly irritant to the skin and must be well diluted. Clove leaf has a higher eugenol content than clove bud and should never be used directly on the skin or in large concentrations. It's excellent as an antiseptic because of the high proportion of eugenol. It helps stimulate digestion, restores appetite and relieves flatulence. Clove leaf oil is not used in skin care except to treat infectious wounds, skin sores and leg ulcers. Beneficial to the digestive system, effective against diarrhea, vomiting and spasms. Description : Cornmint essential oil is used in many of the same ways as peppermint.
